American Association of Diabetes
Educators: As a
multidisciplinary professional association, AADE represents
and supports the diabetes educator by providing members the
resources to stay abreast of the current research, methods
and trends in the field and by offering opportunities to
network and collaborate with other health care professionals.
The American Diabetes Association:
The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading
501(C)3 nonprofit health organization providing diabetes
research, information and advocacy. Founded in 1940, the
American Diabetes Association conducts programs in all 50
states and the District of Columbia, reaching hundreds of
communities.
National Diabetes Education Program:
The National Diabetes Education Program is a federally
funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Services' National Institutes of Health and the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and includes over
200 partners at the federal, state and local levels,
working together to reduce the morbidity and mortality
associated with diabetes.
Children with Diabetes:
The mission of Children with Diabetes is to promote
understanding of the care and treatment of diabetes,
especially in children; to increase awareness of the need
for unrestricted diabetes care for children at school and
day care; to support families living with diabetes; and to
promote understanding of research into a cure.
